BELLINGHAM ADOPTS FORMAL ROAD ACCEPTANCE POLICY

Bellingham Select Board adopts formal road acceptance policy, establishing clearer standards for municipal development. Town Administrator Joseph Laydon presented the policy after receiving two street acceptance requests for the Annual Town Meeting warrant, establishing that financial and procedural responsibilities rest with developers; the Board voted 5-0 to adopt. In related business, the Board voted 5-0 to approve 11 regional procurement contracts through SERSG covering road work including guardrails, chip seal, crack sealing, and asphalt installation.
The Board also continued a public hearing on Cranes 101's Class I Dealer's License to April 27, with applicant Jay Sturm submitting proposed license conditions in response to abutters' concerns about unregistered vehicles and traffic.
