Board approves school override for May election

Bellingham Select Board votes to place school override on May ballot. The board voted 4-0 with one abstention to submit the district's budget override question to voters on May 27 following resident concerns about financial impacts. Member Jennifer Altomonte abstained pending State Ethics Commission review.

The board also unanimously amended the annual town meeting warrant, adding three zoning bylaw amendments, two street acceptances, and a CFO charter amendment. John's Used Auto received a 60-day temporary Class III license to address fire code and environmental deficiencies, with final determination set for May 18.
