Board seeks guidance on union contract costs

Bellingham Library Trustees approve policies, address union contract costs. The Board of Library Trustees voted unanimously to request information from the town Chief Financial Officer regarding $8,000 in union contract settlement costs following budget finalization. The board also unanimously approved the Digital Electronic Sign Policy on its second reading and took first readings on new policies governing public posting and unaccompanied adults.
Amanda Busa was promoted to Senior Library Technician, with Library Technician and Teen Librarian positions targeted to be filled July 1, 2026, or shortly after.
