Commission orders replanting of removed pines at Maple Street

Bellingham Conservation Commission continues three environmental hearings and expands peer review. The Commission ordered a Maple Street homeowner to replant eight white pines to compensate for two large trees removed from a wetland buffer zone, with a planting plan due by February 25. The Commission authorized additional peer review funding by Beals and Thomas for the complex Blackstone Street project involving alterations to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland for street improvements.
A hearing for Lakeview Avenue was also continued to February 25. ===BRIEF===
