Conservation Commission Approves Stormwater Project, Rejects Rail Herbicide

BELLINGHAM — Conservation Commission approves stormwater upgrade, rejects rail herbicide use. Chairman Michael O'Herron's Conservation Commission issued an Order of Conditions for a water main and stormwater project affecting Lakeshore Drive, Indian Run Road, and Bernier Lane. In a 4-1 vote, the Commission rejected herbicide use for MBTA Commuter Rail vegetation management, though it approved mechanical brush removal; Commissioner Steven Kohler dissented.
The Commission also unanimously approved a three-year permit extension for the Plymouth Road-Sunken Meadow Road Chapter 40B subdivision and continued the Blackstone Street hearing to January 28.
