Council on Aging _ Senior Center · Meeting of October 13, 2026
BELLINGHAM — The Council on Aging approved meeting minutes and the Treasurer's report unanimously. Director Josie Dutil updated the board on a planned 44-space Senior Center parking expansion awaiting a state contract expected in early December, with cost estimates due in January and hopes for May Town Meeting inclusion. The September financial report showed 14 percent of general fund spending with revolving funds available within two months.
Dutil reported staffing challenges in hiring part-time employees and recruiting volunteers as the town's new Interim HR Director began work. The center seeks candidates for van driver and supportive day program lead positions. Dutil will attend trainings on Fridays through May and will not be in the building on Fridays until month-end.
