Finance Committee approves $57.1 million in FY27 budgets

BELLINGHAM — Finance Committee approves $57.1 million in FY27 budgets. Chairman John Allam led the committee to unanimous approval of six major fiscal allocations, including $35.8 million for schools presented by Superintendent P. Marano, $11.7 million for group health insurance, $4.8 million for retirement, $4.1 million for debt service, $964,000 for property insurance, and $650,000 for Medicare.
Town Administrator J. Laydon announced that police, DPW, and water department capital requests will be discussed at future hearings set for March 30, April 6, and April 13.
