BELLINGHAM — Finance Committee backs nearly $79M FY27 budget and capital requests. The Finance Committee unanimously recommended the town's $78,948,009 FY27 operating budget and $763,656 in capital spending at Monday's April 13 meeting, with all six members present. Enterprise budgets totaling approximately $9.6 million advanced alongside a $577,000 water infrastructure project and $155,862.66 in police cruiser replacements.
The committee endorsed most Town Meeting warrant articles, including $930,000 in transfers to health insurance, pension, and stabilization funds. One article concerning a Freeman Street land donation was rejected in a 1-5 vote.
