BELLINGHAM — Parks Commission Chairman William L. Roberts and commissioners set May 1, 2027 as the target opening for Silver Lake and Arcand Park. DPW Parks Foreman Joe Bertonazzi reported summer hiring complete, though the Parks Crew Leader position remains vacant following a recent retirement.
The July 4 fireworks celebration was successful and well attended, with vendors selling out. The commission unanimously approved June 1, 2026 meeting minutes and targets May 1 for parks opening, pending favorable weather and parking conditions.
