Planning Board approves Maple Street retail, continues hearings on three projects

Bellingham Planning Board approves Maple Street retail development, denies Blackstone improvement. The board unanimously approved a major modification to the 239 Maple Street development plan, allowing outdoor storage of equipment and retail sales at the 7.2-acre industrial site, following Director of Planning and Community Development Rachel Benson's presentation of the draft decision. In a separate action, the board voted 4-0-1 to deny the Blackstone Street Improvement Development and Stormwater Management Permit, with Elizabeth Berthelette abstaining.
The board also continued public hearings on three projects: the 316 Hartford Avenue industrial development to June 11, and the Red Mill Subdivision major modification to June 25, where the board rejected a phase-advancement change.
