Planning Board continues three major development applications

BELLINGHAM — Planning Board continues Paine Street housing project after traffic review. The board advanced the 1,600-unit age-restricted housing development proposed by NECC Holdings LLC on 330 acres at 180 Paine Street, hearing traffic peer review findings from MBM Transportation Consultants. Residents raised concerns about traffic impacts and project scale.

The hearing was continued to February 12 to discuss public safety with the Department of Public Works, Fire, and Police. Two Hartford Avenue applications for a retail building and bank with drive-through were continued to February 26 with a March 31 decision deadline. The board approved a $418,792 bond for SNETT Trail Estate.
