BELLINGHAM -- February 12, 2025, Bellingham Conservation Commission closed two long-running hearings and continued three others at its February 12 meeting. The board issued orders of conditions for a garage at 15 Cranberry Meadow Drive and a proposed five-unit, 15,000-square-foot industrial building at zero Maple Street, the latter conditioned on the planning board's final plan matching the conservation commission's plan of record. The commission also approved improvements to the Silver Lake Dam, with reservoir levels capped at 23.5 feet during seepage-relief installation and a spill response protocol required, after commission member Arian Bom recused herself due to her employer's role as project engineer. A new notice of intent for 621 Wrentham Road, proposing a 500-square-foot wetland crossing and 300-foot gravel driveway to reach a buildable rear lot, was continued to February 26 pending revised buffer-zone impact calculations. A notice of violation at 365 Hartford Avenue, where church leaders cleared roughly 10 trees and covered the bank of the Charles River with wood chips without a permit, was steered toward a voluntary notice of intent filing rather than a formal enforcement order.
