Bellingham Planning Board Advances Maple Street Projects, Sets 2025 Meeting Calendar
BELLINGHAM — November 14, 2024 — Bellingham Planning Board continues Maple Street industrial projects toward December decisions. At the November 14 meeting, the board continued two separate applications for Maple Street Development LLC — a redesigned 15,000-square-foot, five-unit contractor flex-space building with a single 30-foot driveway and a companion scenic road and parking special permit — to December 12, with a submission deadline of December 4 and a decision deadline extended to January 24, 2025. The board also continued a definitive subdivision filing for 306 Maple LLC, which Town Planner Rob Lucier described as "simply a zoning exercise" to freeze industrial zoning under MGL Chapter 48 and trigger an eight-year period protecting a previously approved 60,000-square-foot warehouse. A long-running scenic road permit for LMP Properties, tied to a JD Raymond mulch operation that has already survived ZBA and Superior Court review, was continued to January 23, 2025, with Town Counsel to attend and clarify noise bylaw obligations. The board approved its full 2025 meeting calendar unanimously.
