Planning Board Continues Two Hearings, Approves Amended August Minutes

BELLINGHAM — September 25, 2025 — Bellingham Planning Board continues two active public hearings to October 9 amid pending peer reviews. The board voted unanimously at its September 25 meeting to continue both the Blackstone Street and Prospect Hill Village public hearings, with Town Planner Rob Leclair citing outstanding peer review letters in each case — one from Deals and Thomas already received on Blackstone Street, and a stormwater peer review for Prospect Hill Village expected by week's end. The Blackstone Street decision deadline runs through late November; the Prospect Hill Village deadline falls at the end of October. The board also approved amended August 28 meeting minutes, adding board comments on sight distances at the top of Pain Street, concerns that existing traffic volume figures appeared "disproportionately low," and a public note about inclement weather conditions on the steep road. Leclair reminded members the board has only one scheduled meeting each in November and December.
