Select Board raises Silver Lake fees, authorizes health insurance study
Selectboard · Meeting of June 15, 2026
Bellingham Select Board authorizes health insurance study and raises non-resident beach fees. The town voted 5-0 to contract with Hilb Group for a $20,000 analysis of whether its self-insured health model remains cost-effective, with results expected in approximately two months. In separate action, the Board voted unanimously to increase Silver Lake non-resident daily rates from $7 to $15 and season passes from $60 to $75, consistent with neighboring communities' rates.
Town Administrator Joseph Laydon said the increases will fund beach maintenance and cleanup efforts. The Board also authorized a $9,400 consultant contract with Camoin Associates to develop a District Improvement Financing program for Hartford Avenue infrastructure, pending approval at a potential September Town Meeting.
