BELLINGHAM — Board of Library Trustees reviews FY27 budget, delays lockbox decision. The board unanimously approved December minutes and took first readings on the Electric Sign and Display Case policies while advancing two others to second reading. Bellingham ELE Director Brittany Wright requested placement of a submission box for the Transparent Backpack Initiative on library grounds; the board voted to postpone the decision pending the project's progress and recommended an anonymous Google form for gathering community feedback.

Staff updates included notice of Barbara Pacak's planned retirement in March 2026.
