Council on Aging Receives Business Association Unsung Heroes Award

Bellingham Senior Center attendance climbs 13 percent in fiscal 2026. The Council on Aging, chaired by Kay Page, shared the Bellingham Business Association's Unsung Heroes Award with the Bellingham Elder Services Group for community service. Monthly attendance averaged 458 individuals in FY26, up from 406 in FY25, while activity participation reached 28,038 compared to 23,370.

Director Josie Dutil reported new offerings including a Wednesday morning dance class, and a Tavern for a Cause fundraiser contributed $486. The board voted unanimously to place the award plaques in the dining room.
