BELLINGHAM — Council on Aging receives Unsung Heroes Award at June meeting. The Bellingham Business Association and Bellingham Elder Services Group honored the Council on Aging, with Chairperson Kay Page accepting the award at the June 16 Senior Center gathering. Four voting members attended, including Treasurer Dave Dunbar and members Glenna Laverdiere and Tsune Roberts.

The board unanimously approved its April 14 minutes and Treasurer Dunbar's monthly report, showing the general fund at 84.99 percent expenditure of the $334,851 annual budget, and announced the hiring of accounting staff member Linda Veneziano to replace retiring staff member Nancy Champney.
